California voters will determine the fate of ACA 5 in November. CFER has assembled a seasoned team of civil rights champions, legal and political experts, as well as community leaders to lead this effort to defeat ACA 5 and safeguard equal treatment in California. Among them is CFER’s prestigious president, Mr. Ward Connerly, who has led citizen initiatives to prohibit preferential treatment in California, Washington, Michigan, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Arizona and Colorado.

Thanks to the initial round of donations, CFER has secured expert legal representation and political strategic counsel to challenge ACA 5’s upcoming ballot language. While this crucial first step is well underway, we are expanding our diverse alliance, ramping up public education on the danger of ACA 5, mapping the political landscape through scientific methods, and sustaining full operational capacity. The financial contributions from the community are critical to our
fight against the political establishment behind ACA 5.

Together, we can defend Proposition 209 and keep government discrimination illegal! Please consider making a valuable contribution to our campaign. Contributions can be personal or corporate and there is no limit on what you can give.

About CFER: Californians for Equal Rights (CFER) PAC is a ballot measure committee registered in the California state, with a mission to defend Proposition 209 and the principle of equal rights as enshrined in the California Constitution (Section 31 of Article I). Passed in November 1996 by popular vote (54.55%), Prop. 209 prohibits the state from “discriminating against, or granting preferential treatment to, any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin”. Prop. 209 upholds America’s fundamental principles of equal opportunity, merit and individual liberty, with a simple language identical to Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. CFER accomplishes this mission through public education and grassroots campaigns to push back legislative attempts that would reinstitute racial and gender preferences in government programs.
