Silicon Valley Chinese Association Urges All Californians to Vote “Yes” on Recall Election

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sep. 09, 2021

Dear Fellow California voters:

California is in deep trouble. The state is facing severe challenges on multiple fronts. These issues have been worsened by Newsom. We demand a change in state leadership. Vote “Yes” on Recall Election on Sept. 14th.

Newsom is responsible for heightened racial discrimination and tension. He endorsed and championed for Prop 16, which intended to discriminate Asians in jobs, and education. His support for racial discrimination instigates crimes against Asians.

Newsom is responsible for spikes in violent and property crimes. He signed into law a multitude of initiatives that decriminalizing property crimes, causing crime rate to climb significantly throughout the state.

Newsom is responsible for a downward spiral of the homeless crisis in California. If you have recently visited San Francisco or LA, you can see all the tents, camps and human waste in the streets. Newsom’s policy of paying and providing hotel rooms has made California the “dream destination” of all homeless in the country.

Newsom is responsible for worsening of wildfires in California. The Governor, instead of increasing the budget of fire prevention, cut the budget by $150M. We have experienced the worst three years in wildfires.

Newsom is responsible for California’s worsening energy and water crisis. Newsom recently brokered a bankruptcy plan that prioritized PG&E, French Laundry friend’s clients over PG&E fire victims as reported by ABC10 in Sacramento.

Newsom is responsible for shutting down Californian public schools, sending millions of children home, forcing them to miss over a year of in-person instruction. In sharp contrast, he sent his own privileged kids to private school with elite in-person teaching.

We deserve a Governor who puts the wellbeing of working class first. We need to change direction and leadership in California.

If California’s future and community safety and livelihood matter to you, please vote “YES” on RECALL!
